1968 dated combat photograph of the USAF SAT (Security Alert Team) in action against the Viet Cong. These Airmen are at Tan Son Nhut Air Base and are responding to an attack on the perimeter by the enemy. The unit is IDed as the 377th SPS. Rifles In use are the early M-16 rifles with the three prong flash suppressor, and the USAF issued use of Marine Corps camo helmet covers by two of the airmen, the other two with bare helmets.
