C-130s of the 463rd TAW dropped huge 10 and 15,000 pound bombs to clear
landing zones that were assaulted into by Army and Marine helicopters. The
374th dropped the bombs until 1973. USAF C-130s flew the rigged bombs to
Tan Son Nhut where they were reloaded aboard South Vietnamese C-130As for
delivery. A single bomb dropped near the town of Xuan Loc killed a
reported 1,000 North Vietnamese troops."
