I was told recently that Philip Norwich passed away following an extended illness in 1998. I remember serving with Philip at Da Nang Air Base, Vietnam, during 1965-1966. We were tent mates before we joined the K-9 section. My K9 was Blackie, and Phil's was "Lucky."

I recall that Philip was always cheerful with a great sense of humor, and a genuine nice-guy to work with as an Air Policeman. The eye-patch in the below photo was due to an eye-infection he contracted. It healed fine. The larger photo was taken while we were waiting for our tentmate, KIA Air Policeman J.B. Jones's Memorial Service to begin.
