The Space Coast War Dog Association has demonstrated their total commitment in supporting  military dog teams, both past and present.  Months ago, they started sending comfort items for military dogs and handlers deployed to the Gulf and Southwest Asia. They reached 2,000 pounds of items shipped, some time ago. The VSPA can not and will not endorse any group, so this is a personal endorsement.

Established in March of 2002, the Space Coast War Dog Association (SCWDA) is committed to honoring the memory of all Military Working Dogs past, present and Future.

Primary objectives of the SCWDA include:

Carry on programs to perpetuate the memory of veterans of the Armed Forces and to comfort their survivors, also recognize  the service of military working dogs, past, present and future.

Foster educational initiatives to promote the history of War Dogs/Military Working Dogs.

Strive to obtain funding for the erection of a military working dog memorial on or around the Patrick Air Force Base, Florida area.

Establish memberships for military working dog handlers and supporters.

The SCWDA is open to former dog handlers, active duty military working dog handlers serving in the US military, and anyone interested in the mission of the SCWDA.

The SCWDA is now eligible to receive donations under 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.  If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to the SCWDA, please send an email to admin@scwda.org
