Photo below: Taken from the second floor porch of the K-9 barracks. A pop flare parachute is hanging from the utility wire. The K-9, QRT (Response Force), and Overhead (SPs in administrative positions) shared a single barracks, with the K9 handlers taking the top floor

Photo Below: SP barracks area. The building with the two water tanks is the shower. It never failed to amaze ( and sometimes infuriate) the Army troops we met that we could take a hot shower every day

Photo Below:  Building in foreground is the base post office. The smoke is of two Caribous (twin engine transport aircraft capable of landing on dirt runways) burning on the flight line after being struck by 122mm rockets.
