Hello, Hector. My name is Gary Steele and I was at Bình Thủy working first with base police then with D-Flt . Saw your name on the VSPA site and thought I would drop a line to you. If you would like please prop a line and let me know how you are, the old fog in the head gets a little forgetful so I got to get it in gear, lol. Welcome Home!

Hi Garry,
Thanks for writing, your my first contact from VSPA and hopefully not the last. I was at Bình Thủy all of 69 on Devil Flt also. I was usually in tower 7 and made a name for myself by making early 10-66 calls on incoming. I too can't remember many names, but am very happy to have run into the VSPA site because like you I've longed to know what became of my brothers & wish to share some memories. I've attached a photo of me & Joe DiMaggio that was taken on a U.S.O. tour after the 69 world series, I still treasure this Polaroid shot (it's my screensaver) because it reminds me that there were Americans that supported us. I'll soon be sending in some more photos & a story or two so keep posted. Welcome Home Brothers.

Hector
