1965 - This is the unofficial patch of the 405th Air Police Squadron, TDY to the 509th FIS. We wore it on the brim of the snapped side of our "cowboy" hats which was our official head gear. We had no helmets or flack vests in those days. I believe these TDYs started during the first part of 1965 and continued till sometime in 1966. Ed Wilson |
